About Notchbook
Notchbook is a notes app with few features, chosen carefully. Notes are plain text with Markdown formatting, sorted into notebooks, and searchable in full as you type. It opens to a blank note in under a second, so short thoughts get written down.
Sync is end-to-end encrypted and optional. Notes are stored as ordinary text files, so you can leave whenever you like and take everything with you.
What it does
Instant search
Searches the full text of every note as you type, including checklists and tables.
Checklists and tables
Both are written in plain text and shown as tappable boxes and tidy grids.
Encrypted sync
Turn it on to keep phones and tablets in step. The studio cannot read your notes.
Plain files
Export any notebook, or all of them, as a folder of text files at any time.
